The Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada is the same blend as the regular decade line of cigars except the wrapper is the remaining Pennsylvania Broadleaf tobaccos from the Rocky Patel Winter Blend. This cigar is very limited in production but can be had at the Smoke Inn.
Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada
Wrapper: Pennsylvania Broadleaf
Made In: Honduras
Size: 6×50 Toro
Price: $12.00 per single from Smoke Inn
Appearance & Construction: The Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada has a chocolate brown colored wrapper has only a few small veins running throughout. The cigar is constructed well as there are no hard or soft spots to mention. This cigar, unlike the regular Decade line, is round instead of box-pressed which I find interesting as to why he chose not to do the box press on these cigars.
Smoking Characteristics: No surprise, the Decade Edicion Limitada has a smooth draw that produced a good amount of smoke. The burn is dead even and leaves behind a nice gray ash that has only a small bit of flaking.
Flavor: The Decade Edicion Limitada starts off with some heavy spice which quickly mellows out showing notes of dark fruit, coffee, and dark chocolate. As the cigar progresses into the second third, the cigar really mellows out and is nice and smooth. The final third continues to mellow but the flavors seem to stick to the palate more in the final third.
Final Thoughts: Overall I really enjoyed the Rocky Patel Decade Edicion Limitada and it was a nice change of pace from the regular Decade line. I could see myself smoking more of these in the future as I am a big fan of the nice dark fruity flavors that combined with the coffee and dark chocolate. Everything was balanced nicely and the cigar had a decent amount of complexity. Being limited in production, this cigar would be a nice treat to store away and smoke on occasion. For Rocky fans this cigar is defiantly worth the hunt.
Cigar Rating: Great
